PSDTUTS Photoshop Wiki / Photoshop Tools / Notes Tool

The notes tool allows you to attach post-it notes to your images. After choosing the tool (keyboard shortcut N), click and drag on the canvas to create a note of any size. You can click and drag the lower right hand corner of the note to resize it. You can collapse a note by clicking on the checkbox in the top left corner—it will leave a smaller note thumbnail on the image which you must double-click to show the note again.
