Welcome to the Talk Page for this project, this page contains guidelines on editing the directory, adding your links, and categorizing unformatted links, as well as a section to request assistance about editing this page.

[edit] Adding links

We encourage any new links you can bring to the directory, our aim is to have the largest resource of Photoshop resources on the internet. Adding links to our directory is simple. If you have a selection of links with or without descriptions, but do not wish to get involved with individually formatting each link with the correct table syntax, please paste your links at the bottom of the project page and eventually someone will go through and add them to the table.

  • It may be some time before your links are added to the table, as you can see we have quite a backlog at the bottom to get through --JoshB 09:47, 31 July 2008 (PDT)

[edit] Organizing

If you would like to help organize the directory, you will find a list of links either without categories or descriptions at the bottom of the project page. The process of adding these links to the correct table is a simple one, if a bit tedious:

  1. Choose the top link from the list at the bottom of the project page.
  2. Use the 'find' function of your browser (Ctrl+F on Windows, Apple+F on Mac), with the URL of the link as your search criteria.
    • If the find tells you that the link is already in the table, then the link is a duplicate. Please delete the link from the unsorted list and move on.
    • If there are no duplicates, move on to step 3.
  3. If the website has no description alongside it, please visit the link, and get a feel for the website, gather enough information about what it provides to write a short (1-2 sentences max.) description. Also, decide what category the website fits into.
  4. Once you have chosen a category and prepared a description of the website, please scroll up in the editting field and paste it into the tables with this formatting:

  • Please do not change the bgcolor values, as it alters the formatting of the table.

I don't really care much, but there's no reason to delete discussions on talk pages (maybe just make them go below the improtant stuff). That's what these are here for. Nice work on the addition of the organizing bit. --Landlordos7 contrb talk
